Project Background
Designing for vehicular interactions within the cockpit requires extreme intentionality, precision, and forethought for greater system-vehicle-user interactions. The primary objective is to deliver both a physical (steering controls) and software (infotainment) experience that is delightful while also being safe to use.
My task within this project, is to lead the UX design for the next generation of Hyundai Motor Group’s radio systems for the North American market — across all Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicles being deployed with the next generation of infotainment systems.
These different vehicles each will have unique form factors and, in some cases, manually adjustable form factors which makes designing a modular system to reduce design and development time an interesting design challenge.
